Having an Apple phone, for sure, is the dream of many people. That’s because, besides being beautiful, the cell phones of the late Steve Jobs’ company are also a status symbol, even due to the exorbitant prices they reach in the market. Thus, a device from the famous Apple is coveted for its appearance and also for its state-of-the-art technologies, of course.

But, it turns out that a lot that iOS systems offer is still nothing compared to the facilities and features of the popular Androids. At least, that’s what the Business Insider website tried to show by creating a list of some of the things Android functions do that iPhones are nowhere near able to do.

We know the matter is controversial, but we made it clear that nothing here is our opinion. So, without stress and offense, follow the list below and find out what are the functions of competitors that leave Apple devices at a disadvantage:

1. Changing the battery

Changing the battery for an improved version is a reality for many Androids users. As for iPhones, this is an impossible task since the devices are designed never to be opened. At least not by the cell phone owners themselves.

The possibility of opening several applications and using them simultaneously is one of Android and Android Functions’ great advantages. In the case of Apple devices, as everyone knows, you need to be in a hurry at that time and use it one by one.

2. USB cable

One of the frequent complaints about iPhones is the form of USB cable they use. That’s because, while Apple devices use Lightning, which only works for the company’s latest smartphones and tablets, Androids adopt micro USBs, used in most devices, to make life easier for consumers.

3. Micro HDMI port

In the case of Android, it is even possible to connect some models directly to the television through a micro HDMI port. Regarding iPhones, on the other hand, their models offer only two openings: Lightning for recharging; and the headset.

4. Voice command

Some Androids also offer the option of using the devices without touching your hands. It is only necessary to configure the voice command of smartphones to perform specific tasks through verbal orders.

Although iPhones have Siri, it is necessary to configure the program manually before placing a voice order. And detail commands in Portuguese are not met.

5. External MicroSD cards

Although new iPhone models come with plenty of memory space (128 GB, the latest version), you cannot simply extend this device’s feature. With Androids, however, there is space for external microSD cards, which can be exchanged when full.

6. Settings Menu

Nowadays, Apple devices even have a quick settings menu, which appears when the user drags his finger from bottom to top on the screen, but this copy – literally made of Androids – has two limitations: the number of tasks that they can appear there (maximum 10); and the inability to choose which configurations will be available in that space. On Android, the choice is up to the user, who can put up to 20 quick settings in this function.

7. Customization

Androids can be completely customized, changing icons, placing new wallpapers, and even transforming the interface into something completely different from the one that comes from the factory. On the iPhone, as everyone knows, customization options are minimal.

8. Widgets option

On iOS 8, Apple released widgets in the notification center, but they don’t come close to the possibilities of Android. For example, on Google’s Android, it is possible to have widgets that control everything from radio apps to those that display currency fluctuations and social media information. Useful.

9. Remote Control

The most “complete” devices that come with the Android system even allow their users to use their cell phones as a television control, for example. This is because they come with infrared, a function that allows you to touch several other electronics, such as air conditioning, stereos, and so on.

As we said at the beginning, iPhones cannot be opened by their users. On the one hand, it makes the cell phone safer, let’s say it; on the other hand, it is very limiting and even prevents the owner from changing the exterior appearance of the device unless he uses a separate cover. It is possible to change the back covers of some models on Android devices, changing the phone’s color whenever the user wants.
