The animation was launched in Paris on August 17, 1908, and was broadcast at the Théatre du Gymnase Marie-Bell. Space held 800 people and was used as a cinema during the holidays.
The cartoon was a straightforward animation with no audio and was 1 minute and 40 seconds long. He told the surrealist story whose main character was a clown made with childlike features, created by human hands (which appear in the video), opposite a series of morphic objects.
